Objectives
In the lessons that follow, you will:
- Review the basic anatomy and physiology (function) of the digestive system
- Gain a patient’s-level understanding of several common gastrointestinal diseases or maladies
- Practice interpreting questions commonly asked by a doctor when a patient reports “stomach pain”
- Complete all of the activities below, in order, from top to bottom, beginning with lesson "1a: Organs of the GI System."
- Completing one activity unlocks the next; restricted activities (in gray text) turn red when you unlock them.
- To review your progress, you can always return to this page by clicking the course title in the "crumb trail" above.
- After you complete Sections 1-4, take the post-test in Section 5. A passing score on the test will unlock the Certificate of Completion.
